Occrasy gehören zu den spannendsten neuen Namen ungefilterter Gitarrenmusik aus Schweden und sorgt derzeit mit energiegeladenen Live-Shows für Aufsehen. Geprägt von einer bewusst analogen Herangehensweise an die Musik, steht die Band für rohe Energie, explosive Auftritte und kompromisslosen Rock’n’Roll.
Im Mai erscheint ihr Debütalbum „Good To Go“, gefolgt von einer 15 Termine umfassenden Deutschlandtour im frühen Herbst.
„Hold your f****g bladders Germany, we’re good to go! The question is: are you? We’re about to hit the road for three weeks and show all y’all some lovin’“, kündigt die Band an.
Die junge Indie-Rock-Sensation aus Schweden besteht aus Sänger Alfonz Lindström, den Gitarristen Aurell Poetri und Dexter Swärd, Bassistin Elvira Lööf sowie Schlagzeuger Filip Samuelsson. Vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr steckte die Band noch in den Kinderschuhen: fünf Freunde aus der schwedischen Stadt Borlänge, die begannen, gemeinsam in einem Keller Musik zu machen, um sich die Zeit zu vertreiben.
Ihre musikalischen Einflüsse sind klar – darunter The Beatles und The Hellacopters. Eine besondere Rolle spielte außerdem ihr Musiklehrer Gustaf Norén von Mando Diao. Trotz dieser Inspirationen war der Band schnell klar, dass sie vor allem ihre eigenen Geschichten erzählen wollen. „Wir geben alles für den Rock’n’Roll“, sagt Sänger Alfonz über den gemeinsamen Antrieb der Band.
Seit der Veröffentlichung ihrer Debütsingle „Local Coke“ im vergangenen Jahr haben Occrasy immer mehr Bühnen in Schweden erobert und sich einen Ruf als mitreißende Live-Band erspielt. Mit ihrer explosiven Bühnenpräsenz gehören sie zu den interessantesten Vertretern der neuen Welle roher Gitarrenmusik, die derzeit Schweden erfasst.
Während manche Bands Jahre brauchen, um ihren eigenen Sound zu finden, haben Occrasy bereits nach wenigen Monaten eine unverwechselbare musikalische Identität entwickelt. Für ihre Debüt-EP, die im August 2025 über Roxy Recordings / Playground Music erschien, arbeitete die Band mit Produzent Niklas Berglöf zusammen. Die Aufnahmen entstanden im legendären Studio Gröndal in Stockholm.
CONCRETE VEHICLES (formerly Computer) is a band from Vancouver that originated as a recording project between lifelong friends Hudson Schelesny and Ben Lock. As their recordings developed, the songs became too chaotic and nuanced to play live with a normal band which got them excited about expanding into a larger group. Fast forward a year and Concrete Vehicles is a fully formed seven piece working on transforming their songs to embrace a wider range of instrumentation including saxophone, synths, and percussion. They have played over 50 shows including an Eastern Canadian tour, a UK and Europe tour, with appearances at Sled Island, Khatsalano Festival, M For Montreal, and Left of the Dial.

1000 RABBITS is an off-kilter art-pop picnic who tell stories through human sounds, both intimate and extroverted. LOTHARIO is the visceral, razor-edged solo project of Melbourne's Annaliese Redlich, who creates feminist punk anthems for the bored and reckless. Conceived in her bedroom in November 2022, Lothario's music is a raw outpouring of late-night hedonism, encapsulating themes of sex, conflict, and rebellion. Redlich's songwriting is a cathartic exploration of betrayal, booze, boyfriends, and bullies - offering a momentary escape from self-doubt and vulnerability. Her music challenges listeners to confront their demons and seize their power.
Lothario's inception was marked by a lo-fi immediacy, with Redlich recording all the instruments, except drums, in her living room. The result is an urgent, desperate menace that resonates through her lyrics and soundscapes. The songs are love letters to losers, filled with an unfiltered intensity that invites listeners to rage until daybreak.
The live lineup includes Shauna Boyle (Cable Ties, Leatherman), Elsa Birrel (Shove), Beth Lockhart (Dumb Punts, Elvis 2), and Al Hall (Cutters).
Lothario quickly gained traction, selling out singles through labels such as Goodbye Boozy, Under The Gun, and Wintergarden. Lothario’s 13 track debut LP ‘Hogtied’ released in September 2024 by Under The Gun (USA) and tape on Low Ambition (Aus) sold out in a record 3 months for the label. The album received broad critical acclaim garnering “Best New Punk release from Bandcamp, and SeeSaw (Evan Minsker ex Pitchfork), as well as tremendous reviews in Post Punk Online, features in Creem Magazine, 3RRRFM, KCRW, Redbull and Siriusxm playlists to name a few.
The band are fresh off the road from a 21 date USA tour playing Gonerfest, U4 Fest and Jacumba Breakdown. They also toured Europe in 2024 and the USA in 2023. With a new record set for release in 2026, and a brand new single ‘The Animal’ fresh out now, there is plenty on the horizon for Lothario.
850km liegen zwischen Hamburg und Warschau, ein langer Weg, den das Duo Paula & Karol auch nach fünfzehn Jahren der Zusammenarbeit, darunter vier Alben, eine EP und viele Konzerte, gerne zurücklegt, um gemeinsam an seiner herzzerreißend luftig-leichten und sonnendurchfluteten Popmusik zu feilen. Um sich herum haben die beiden eine Bandfamilie versammelt, die ihre Musik zwischen den sehr unterschiedlichen Lebenswelten von Paula in Hamburg sowie als Professorin für die Soziologie der Digitalisierung in St. Gallen und Karol als DJ, Komponist, Produzent und Konzertagent in Warschau einspielt. Die fünf sind über die Jahre Freunde fürs Leben geworden: „Even if life gets a bit strange, we’ll always be playing music“ so das Motto der Band.
Der Albumtitel Lifestrange ist eine Wortschöpfung von Paula & Karols Bassist Jakub Czubak. Es ist sein Ausdruck dafür, wenn die Dinge im Leben mal wieder anders laufen als geplant – und er passt damit auch gut zur Gefühlslage der Band während der Entstehung des Albums. Alle Songs wurden vor Beginn der Pandemie, in einer Zeit der großen sozialen und politischen Unsicherheit in Polen und anderswo geschrieben. Die Aufnahmen mussten dann in zwei Etappen stattfinden: vor Beginn der Pandemie mit der kompletten Band im Studio, später jedes Bandmitglied allein mit dem Tontechniker Jacek Trzeszczyński. Produziert und gemastert wurde es später in zahlreichen „Zoom Happy Hours“ von Arjen Mensinga in Utrecht gemeinsam mit Paula & Karol.
Inspiriert von Künstlern wie den frühen Hall & Oates, Bob Dylan oder der Band Whitney aus Chicago und unter dem Eindruck der aktuellen Lage, ist das Album wohl zum eklektischsten der bisherigen Bandgeschichte geworden. Americana trifft auf Psychedelic Folk und 1970er Dad-Rock. Paula kommentiert den Sound so: „I really like the new vibe we created on this album. It's more slick, but it's still heartfelt. I feel there is a bit more coolness, less of a folky and ‘be happy’ vibe than we usually do”.

Formidable quartet The Blood Arm have reunited to digitally release their 2004 debut album Bomb Romantics, available again for the first time in over twenty years on 17th July 2026. To celebrate the release, they are performing live together for the first time in 10 years at Berlin's legendary Schokoladen.
Founded in Los Angeles, 2002. Nathaniel met guitarist Zebastian Carlisle at a karaoke bar, and the two recruited Nathaniel's UCLA classmate Dyan Valdés, a classically-trained pianist, on keys. Drummer Zachary Amos, who was studying microbiology at UCLA, was the last to join. The band developed a strong reputation for their enthusiastic and immersive live performances and were named the 'Best Live Act' at the SXSW Music Conference by Entertainment Weekly in 2005. They were also christened Franz Ferdinand's "favourite band" after playing an after show for them in 2004, the same year they nominated for the LA Weekly Music Award for 'Best New Artist'. The band members all currently reside in Berlin where they continue to make music in various projects.
Bomb Romantics was a self-funded collection of lo-fi songs recorded in a garage studio over one weekend, which then sold out and generated the buzz that got them noticed abroad. The album received critical acclaim from the likes of NME and DIY, as well as BBC Radio's Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq. Whilst not a traditional concept album with a single continuous narrative, Bomb Romantics captures the raw energy and early ethos of The Blood Arm, making it an extremely significant release for the band.
Since the release of their debut album, they have regularly received support from the likes of The Guardian, Loud & Quiet, Uncut and Clash Magazine to name a few. The Blood Arm's biggest appearances and live achievements are rooted in their reputation as an explosive live band, which led to high-profile support slots and festival recognition, including the likes of Glastonbury and Reading & Leeds.

Formed on the island of Malta, Brighton-based / Anglo-Maltese outfit ĠENN is: Janelle Borg – guitars (she/her), Sofia Rosa Cooper – drums (she/they), Leona Farrugia – Vocals (she/they), and Leanne Zammit – bass (she/her).
ĠENN is a self-described sisterhood founded on instinctive trust and an experimental collision of multinational backgrounds, with Maltese, British, Jamaican, and Portuguese roots represented across its four members.
Their bold geographic move was mirrored by their 2023 debut unum - an album celebrated as a bold journey through experimental rock, post-punk, and Mediterranean folk. Notable press / radio acclaim arrived from BBC6, KEXP, Pitchfork, The Independent, Loud & Quiet, CLASH, Under the Radar, DIY, The Line of Best Fit, with a collaborative video for single The Sister Of also achieved a UK Music Video Award nomination.
low key orchestra. Mehr Understatement in einem Bandnamen geht nicht. Der wirklich unpassendste – und damit passendste – Name wurde da von Sönke Torpus für etwas gefunden, das, ohne übertreiben zu wollen, musikalisch wirklich Großartiges birgt.
Aber erstmal kurz von vorne. low key orchestra ist das neue Bandprojekt des eben genannten. Allen Indie-Folk-Connaisseuren unter uns wird seine ehemalige Band Torpus & the Art Directors ein Begriff bzw. in guter Erinnerung sein und die Freude ins Gesicht geschrieben stehen, dass nun neue Musik vor der Tür der Lieblingslieder steht.
„maybe words“ hieß der erste von mehreren low key orchestra Songs, die dieses Jahr veröffentlicht werden und es ist schlichtweg ein wundervolles Lied. Sönke ist eine kleine Hymne für all jene gelungen, die eine ausgestreckte Hand oder ein offenes Ohr benötigen. Als hätte er sich gedacht: „Wenn ich nicht in deiner Nähe sein kann, dann bekommst du immerhin einen Refrain, der mehr Trost spendet als 1000 Umarmungen.”

Aus jeder Zeile spricht aufrichtiges Mitgefühl. Zusammen mit dem Produzenten Helgi Helgasson hat Sönke es geschafft, einen unausweichbaren Text in warme und facettenreiche Musik zu übersetzen. Soundtechnisch schwebt das low key orchestra – vor allem hierzulande - sehr eigenständig in einer Klang- und Gefühlswelt, die von Bands wie Bright Eyes, Whitney und den Flaming Lips geprägt wurde. Im Songwriting hingegen fnden sich Parallelen zu frühen Alben von Coldplay oder Keane. Sönke sagt über sich selbst, er habe die Musik für eine lange Zeit verloren. Zu unserem Glück hat er sie – oder vielleicht auch sie ihn – wiederentdeckt. Im Oktober geht das low key orchestra zum ersten Mal in voller Bandbesetzung auf Tour.

Denn nur wer aufrichtig haszen kann, kann auch wirklich lieben. Alte Männer zeigen erneut in prätentiöser Selbstdarstellung, dasz es nicht viele Emotionen braucht, um erfolgreich die Welt zu Grunde zu richten:Wut, Hasz, Narziszmus und...ähh...Hunger. Genau!„Warum werde ich nicht satt?“sangen schon Die Toten Hosen. Warum? Weil die Gier nach Macht,Ruhm und Anerkennung wie ein Bandwurm im Verdauungstrakt des Wirtes parasitiert.Mit diesem bahnbrechenden Mindset aus Stahl wird SOKO LiNX mit dem neuen Drummer ONLi KOXS und mit dem neuen Album PUNK FÜR LEUTE, DIE PUNK HASZEN im Herbst 2026 endlich wieder auf Tour gehen. Die Miszion lautet: nicht gut, aber ohrenbetäubend. Die Vision heiszt: nicht tight, aber schnell. Denn es kommt nicht darauf an, wie mans macht, sondern dasz mans macht. Somit gilt dieses Mal die Devise nach Kubicki: Sei Macher statt Sozialarbeiter! Nichts zu danken, denn SOKO LiNX hat noch jeden wach geküszt, da ist sie nämlich Altruistin. Also faxt es euren Eltern und simst es der angeheirateten Verwandtschaft: Die Teletubbies des Elektro-Punk mit Alditüte und gelegentlichen Rap-Ausflügen sind bald wieder back on stage.
Rika Bender macht New Wave mit Charakter. Dunkle Gitarren, coole Synths und eine unverkennbare, tiefe Stimme prägen ihren Sound. Die Musik ist direkt und intensiv.Zwischen Post-Punk-Energie und klaren Melodien entsteht etwas Eigenes – kein Retro, kein Revival, sondern ein Sound, der aus der Vergangenheit gelernt hat und im Jetzt ankommt.Ihre Songs tragen Kanten, Gefühl und ein klares Gespür für Timing. New Wave, wie er 2025 klingen kann – roh, emotional, entschlossen.
MEDUΣA kombiniert in ihrem Sound Synthpop mit starkem 80er-Vibe und mischt dabei Einflüsse aus Post-Punk, Rock, Darkwave und NDW. Treibende Beats, markante Synthesizer und elektrische Gitarrensounds schaffen eine atmosphärische Klangwelt, die gleichzeitig nostalgisch und zeitgemäß wirkt. Inhaltlich dreht sich ihre Musik meist um Themen wie Liebe und Herzschmerz – doch anstatt in Melancholie zu versinken, verleiht sie ihren Tracks eine gewisse Leichtigkeit, die zum Tanzen einlädt.
